First I want to recognize our wrestlers. They wrestled very well against quality oppostion on Saturday. Everyone has improved in their skill despite win/loss record. These wrestlers also stepped up and filled towel-boy, filming, and even matside coaching duties for their teammates. I couldn't be more proud of what they did yesterday.
Thank you to everyone that helped run our meet on Saturday! Our table help from Shannon Frink, Tony Collins, Ownen Kershner, Jenny Scott, Mark Bonifas, Todd Balfour, and Denice Pleak made the meet a smooth-running affair. It is amazing that everyone pulled off running the new score clocks AND TrackWrestling with almost no issues. Without good help, our meet does not happen. I cannot express how thankful I was for such a great group of helpers this year.
Also, thank you to all the parents that helped put up the mats after the meet yesterday. Getting the mats back up following the meet is one of the biggest challenges we face as a junior high team every year that we host. Carrying up the mats is not an easy feat for 7th and 8th graders.
This week will mark the end of our season. Our final practice is Monday morning and our final meet is Tuesday in Aurora. We will leave immediately after school on Tuesday. Wrestling starts at 5:00 PM. We will return to Adams Central around 9:00 PM.
Check in will be on Thursday December 8 immediately after school. Please be sure to launder the singlet and shorts before checking them in.
